Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026
Clips for TikTok is a free tool operated by Typing. This policy explains what the tool stores, what it deliberately does not store, and how to remove your data.
Your video never leaves your device
The long video you upload is read, analysed and cut entirely inside your browser. It is never sent to our servers. The only file that reaches us is the finished 15–20 second clip you choose to publish, and only after you press Post.
What we store
- Your TikTok profile basics: open ID, username, display name, avatar URL, bio and verification status. These come from TikTok when you sign in.
- Your TikTok access and refresh tokens, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. They are never sent to your browser.
- A record of each clip you post: caption, privacy level, the interaction and disclosure options you chose, the source filename, and which part of the source the clip came from.
- Public performance figures for those posts — views, likes, comments and shares — retrieved from TikTok when you ask for a refresh.
- A small thumbnail image of each clip, so your posts list has previews.
- A session identifier in a cookie, so you stay signed in.
What we do not store
- The source video you upload.
- The published clip. It is deleted from our disk as soon as TikTok accepts it.
- Your TikTok password. We never see it.
- Advertising or third-party analytics trackers. There are none on this site.
Cookies
One cookie, holding a random session identifier. It is httpOnly, restricted to this site, and exists only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to consent to.
How TikTok is involved
Signing in uses TikTok Login Kit. Posting uses TikTok's Content Posting API, and performance figures come from TikTok's Display API. Your use of TikTok is governed by TikTok's own privacy policy and terms.
Deleting your data
Signing out revokes our access token with TikTok and deletes the stored tokens immediately. To remove everything else — your profile record, post history and performance snapshots — email privacy@typing.media and we will delete it. You can also revoke this app at any time from your TikTok account settings.
